Celebrating Over 20 Years of PCR
Pioneered by the innovators at Roche Molecular Diagnostics
Roche Molecular Diagnostics, a business area of Roche Diagnostics, designs, develops, and markets diagnostic and blood screening tests based on Nobel-prize winning polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology. By analyzing genetic material directly, PCR-based tests deliver highly accurate detection and quantification of infectious disease pathogens and inherited or disease-specific genetic variations (such as those found in cancers).
Headquartered in Pleasanton, California, Roche Molecular Diagnostics employs 1100 people worldwide. In 2005, the company dedicated its newest site, a manufacturing facility in Branchburg, New Jersey that is the largest polymerase chain reaction (PCR) manufacturing site in the world.
