The Bear Hugs Program
The Bear Hugs ProgramTM provides support to help pediatric transplant recipients and their families cope with the special challenges of organ transplantation in children.
The program includes:
- "Transplant Teddy" plush bear with Bear Hugs t-shirt delivered to the recipient post-transplant
- "It's Good to Be Me" storybook to help the recipient understand the transplant procedure and adapt to changes after it
- Crayons for activities and coloring in the storybook
- Puzzles and word games in the back of the storybook
