Dosing 

Valcyte features dosing convenience – IV potency with just 2 tablets.

Dosing Recommendations for Valcyte Tablets

Induction Therapy Maintenance Therapy
900 mg (two 450-mg tablets)
Twice a day
With food for 21 days 		900 mg (two 450-mg tablets)
Once a day
With food

Valcyte dose modifications are required for patients with renal impairment.

Note: Strict adherence to dose recommendations is essential to avoid overdose. Valcyte should not be prescribed for patients receiving hemodialysis. For patients on hemodialysis (CrCl < 10mL/min), a dose recommendation cannot be given.
