LAS Calculator
A Lung Allocation Score (LAS) is assigned to lung transplant candidates 12 years of age and older, to help determine the order in which lung offers are made. The LAS is an important factor in determining priority for receiving a lung transplant when a donor lung becomes available. The LAS determination was approved by the OPTN/UNOS Board of Directors in 2005.
This score is based on each candidate's particular medical information. It reflects both the seriousness of each candidate's medical status before transplant and the likelihood of a successful transplant.
